Job Title

Surgical Scrub Technician – Operating Room (Variable Schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Independently scrub a broad range of surgical procedures including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology
• Assist with OR room turnover and cleaning between cases
• Transport patients as needed within the department
• Work variable shifts within a 0645–2315 operating window based on department needs, averaging 40 hours per week
• Participate in on-call rotation covering 24/7 coverage, averaging 1–2 call shifts per week plus up to 2 weekends per month, with a 20-minute callback requirement
• Complete a minimum of 39 shifts over the duration of the contract if requesting time off

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii Surgical Technologist license required by assignment start date; travelers without a current Hawaii license must apply for licensure upon offer acceptance
• Minimum of 2 years of scrubbing experience in a hospital-based OR setting
• Demonstrated ability to independently scrub across multiple surgical specialties
• Ability to meet a 20-minute on-call callback requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical environment
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• Experience working in outpatient GI or endoscopy lab settings
