Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Location : Tabor City, NC

Job type: Full-Time / On-site

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing rural health dermatology practice in North Carolina. This role focuses exclusively on medical dermatology , providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of skin conditions while collaborating with supervising physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform full-body skin examinations and diagnose/treat conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, and skin cancers (AK, BCC, SCC, melanoma).
Perform dermatologic procedures including shave/punch/excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound care.
Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, interpret pathology results, and educate patients on skin health and disease prevention.

Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
Active North Carolina NP/PA license and national certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA).
Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience.
Strong diagnostic, procedural, and patient communication skills.
Dermatology certification (DCNP) and EMR/dermatoscopy experience are preferred.
