JOB TITLE:OutreachSummerAdvocate
Job Status:Regular, Full Time (40 hours/week);Based in Brunswick
Office Location:SASSMM Brunswick Office, with remote work from home, as possible.

Outreach
- Engage in public speaking and community education presentations/trainings
- Represent SASSMM at public awareness and tabling functions, prioritized by the agency, including tabling at some evening or weekend events, and distribute outreach materials
- Work in collaboration with SASSMM's Education& Outreach,AdvocacyServices,andMidcoastChildrens Advocacy Teams; stay informed of SASSMM programming and practices to best outreach and represent our programming to all audiences
- Help design and implement community educational events and programs, focusinginLincoln, Sagadahoc, and eastern Cumberland Counties.
- HelpfacilitateCommunity Support Groups or area drop-ins for advocacy service delivery
- Contribute to the generation ofcontent for SASSMMs social media presence - including Instagram and Facebook
- Assistin the plan andcoordinationofactivitiesfor: Sexual Assault Awareness Month; Human Trafficking Awareness Month; and Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
- Distribute evaluative and assessment instruments in collaboration with project participants, as needed
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Client Services
- Complete SASSMM 47+ hours Advocate Training
- Participate in staff back-up coverage of the 1-800 helpline and respond to all client or volunteer advocate needs associated with staff back-up capacity
- Respond to all client needs associated with staff back-up capacity
- Support all client needs as identified via the support line, the SASSMM office phone, affiliated schools, or other community partners
- Co-facilitate in-person or online support groups, as needed
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work/life experience
- At least two-years of experience working with youth in an educational setting or equivalent related experience, preferred
- Experience developing educational curriculum and training materials
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience with classroom management, facilitation, or team-building preferred
- Excellent computer literacy and organizational skills
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- Training or experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Awareness of, and sensitivity to, issues of sexual violence
- Ability to respond to people in crisis and an open-minded nature
Accountability:Accountable to the Education& OutreachCoordinator for all education and outreach programming. Accountable to theAdvocacy Services Coordinatorfor all client advocacy programming.Executive Directorregardingall agency programming and operations.
