12N Horizontal Construction Engineer

U.S. Army Reserves

ABOUT THIS JOB

***THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE***

As a Horizontal Construction Engineer, you'll operate heavy construction equipment like bulldozers, tractors, backhoes, cranes, excavators, and road graders to help pave the way for fellow Soldiers and to make room for construction projects. Without safe roads to travel, it's hard for Soldiers to move around, especially in unfamiliar territory. You'll also assist Army engineers to analyze construction site needs and transport heavy construction equipment from one site to another.

Skills you'll learn align with Vehicle Operations, Maintenance & Repairs, and Engines & Machinery. In addition, you could earn 100 nationally recognized certifications!

Join the Army at a higher rank, earn more pay, and obtain leadership positions quicker. If you have prior experience, the Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) can reduce the length of your initial training and streamline your assignment process, so you can start your Army career sooner. REQUIREMENTS

10 weeks of Basic Training
9 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
U.S. Citizen
17 to 34 Years Old
High School Diploma or GED
Meet Tattoo Guidelines
No Major Law Violations
No Medical Concerns
