Phlebotomist Float
$17.75 - $27.69 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist float for its Chesapeake, Virginia facility to perform blood collections and specimen processing across multiple laboratory sites. The role offers variety, working with diverse patient populations and includes travel to different locations on a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and similar analyses
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately and timely
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and process billing information
- Travel to additional laboratory sites as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Six months or more phlebotomy experience, or equivalent certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass color blindness test and minimum age of 21
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven customer service track record
Compensation: $17.75-$27.69 per hour, plus $1.00/hour float incentive and mileage reimbursement
