Role Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL, providing direct nursing care to residents across levels of care, including Assisted Living, Memory Care, Rehab, and Skilled Nursing. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, documenting care accurately, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to the interdisciplinary team. The LPN collaborates with nurses, therapists, physicians, and caregivers to implement care plans, support rehabilitation goals, and promote resident safety and comfort. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living as needed, providing education to residents and families, and supporting infection control and quality improvement initiatives. The LPN is expected to uphold regulatory standards, follow facility policies and procedures, and contribute to a positive, person-centered environment. Qualifications Current LPN license in the state of Alabama and eligibility to practice in a long-term care or senior living setting. Demonstrated clinical skills in medication administration, basic wound care, vital sign monitoring, and documentation in electronic health records. Experience or strong interest in geriatric nursing, assisted living, memory care, rehab, or skilled nursing environments. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Strong organizational and time management abilities, including prioritizing multiple resident needs and maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to person-centered care, resident dignity, and cultural sensitivity, with a calm and professional approach in stressful situations. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents safely, following proper body mechanics and facility safety protocols.
