Wage: $22.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd

2:00pm-10:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Join a dynamic packaging team in a food manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient production and quality of food products. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to develop skills in packaging operations and food safety protocols, making it an excellent stepping stone in the food manufacturing industry.

Production Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure smooth operation and efficient production
• Work closely with other production associates and team members to ensure efficient workflow to meet production targets
• Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment including hoists and or conveyor systems
• Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, following proper handling procedures
• Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities
• Observe and monitor production lines to ensure the smooth flow of operations
• Conduct regular quality checks and completes quality documentation to ensure compliance with specification and standards
• Ensure accurate labeling
• Clean and maintain equipment, tools and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Adhere to safety guidelines and complies with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Attend safety and department meetings and completes all required training in a timely manner
• Identify and report potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment

Production Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred

- Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks

- Ability to read and interpret work instructions

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers

- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products

- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change

- Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed
