Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Position Overview Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – American Family Care (Urgent Care, Elizabeth, NJ) Job Type: Part Time / Per Diem Schedule: 4‑hour, 6‑hour, 9‑hour or 12‑hour shifts; weekdays 8 am–8 pm, weekends 8 am–5 pm. Compensation: Hourly rate competitive plus malpractice insurance; annual salary range $100,000–$150,000. Actively manage all aspects of patient care while on‑shift. Supervise and direct other clinical staff at the center. Accurately complete all charts in a timely manner. Adhere to clinical policies and protocols. Perform suturing of lacerations, abscess drainage, minor fracture fixation, and X‑ray interpretation. Mentor clinical staff. Qualifications Licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (PA or NP) with an active medical license in New Jersey. Board certification in family practice or the specialty appropriate to the provider. A.C.L.S. and D.O.T. certifications. New Jersey CDSS card and federal DEA license. Prior urgent care experience (preferred). Familiarity with occupational medicine. Comfort treating patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Clean malpractice record. Effective and compassionate communication skills with staff, patients, and families. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast‑paced environment. High‑energy, positive attitude and passion for patient care. Additional Information Position may be located in a company‑owned or franchise‑owned site.
