Confidential Engineering Firm - Staff Engineer (with Estimating Responsibilities)
Fresno, CA | Full-Time | $30-$40/hour DOE


A well-established and reputable engineering consulting firm is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Construction Inspection division. This role offers a strong mix of engineering, project coordination, and estimating , making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and client-facing responsibilities.


This is a 100% in-office position with occasional site visits.


What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare proposals, review bid requests, and assist with project estimating
• Communicate with clients to secure contracts and support ongoing projects
• Review RFIs and submittals, providing technical feedback and responses
• Conduct site visits, data analysis, and technical evaluations
• Assist with project management, including pre-bid and pre-construction meetings
• Track project schedules, contract terms, and support change order processes
• Prepare reports, plan reviews, and other engineering documentation

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction inspection, or materials testing
• EIT certification preferred (not required)
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Overtime as needed

Compensation & Benefits:

• $30-$40/hour depending on experience and certifications
