Job Description

An established organization is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of commercial properties, facilities, grounds, and industrial equipment. This hands-on position will support building systems, forklifts, cranes, and general property maintenance while coordinating outside contractors and service providers. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will help ensure equipment and properties remain safe, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organization, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and general repairs involving electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, painting, and other building systems. 
• Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, repair histories, tools, supplies, and documentation required for supported facilities and equipment. 
• Coordinate third-party contractors and service vendors, obtain and compare project quotes, develop cost estimates, and verify completed work before invoice approval. 
• Support facility improvements and interior construction projects, including office and tenant-space modifications, while ensuring work meets applicable safety and industry standards. 
• Monitor facility and equipment conditions, track project and maintenance expenses, and help ensure properties and equipment comply with company and safety requirements. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred. 
• 5+ years of experience in facilities, property, plant, or maintenance operations. 
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance, along with a basic understanding of industrial or manufacturing equipment. 
• Experience coordinating contractors and service providers. 
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across different locations. 
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required. 
• Ability to frequently use hand tools, walk and stand for extended periods, climb ladders, operate equipment foot controls, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments as required by facility and property maintenance needs.

The base pay range for this position is $40.00+ per hour DOE, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
