Job Details Setting: Progressive Care Unit with mixed PCU and med-surg acuity Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Contract Length: 16 weeks Start Date: 11/2/2026 Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Shifts Per Week: 3 Orientation: 72 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Charting System: Epic Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission Minimum of 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months Current BLS , ACLS , and NIHSS certifications Experience with Epic charting preferred Comfort working in a mixed-acuity surgical oncology environment Ability to float within scope of practice to other acute care oncology units Strong clinical background in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and progressive care workflows Education from an ACEN - or CCNE -accredited nursing program preferred Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients with complex surgical oncology needs Monitor and manage PCU and med-surg level patients with varying acuity Administer and monitor chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips as ordered Care for patients experiencing oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome Provide chest tube care and support patients requiring respiratory or telemetry monitoring Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety Interpret dysrhythmias and manage telemetry monitoring on the unit Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and throughput Float to other acute care oncology units as needed within scope of practice Why Columbus?
