Pay Rate : $30-45/hr on W2 ( DOE )
About the RoleWe are seeking a Controls Engineer to support industrial automation, PLC programming, equipment commissioning, and troubleshooting. This is a good opportunity for an early-career engineer with hands-on controls or manufacturing automation experience.
Responsibilities- Support PLC programming and modifications using Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000.
- Assist with HMI development and troubleshooting.
- Support equipment commissioning, startup, and testing.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs, and control systems.
- Assist with machine and process automation improvements.
- Read and update electrical schematics, I/O lists, and controls documentation.
- Work with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Support continuous improvement and automation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1 3 years of Controls/Automation experience or relevant hands-on internship/project experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
- Basic understanding of HMI, sensors, VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics and troubleshoot controls issues.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- FactoryTalk View experience.
- Exposure to Kepware, OPC, or SCADA systems.
- Basic knowledge of EtherNet/IP or Modbus.
- Experience with equipment commissioning or manufacturing automation.
