What You’ll Need: Associate or Bachelor‘s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT[T] preferred) Valid VT state Radiation Therapist license Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Minimum 2 years‘ experience as a Radiation Therapist or equivalent experience in radiation oncology Experience with treatment planning verification, field verification films, and daily patient treatment documentation Ability to prepare daily schedules, perform dose calculations, and submit daily treatment billing accurately Comfort working with a variety of treatment machines and accessories, following established protocols Minimum Requirements (Client Specific) Medical Radiologic / Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential as required by the facility VT state Radiation Therapist license required ARRT(T) certification required BLS (Basic Life Support) required At least 2 years‘ clinical experience in radiation therapy or related medical imaging/radiation oncology settings Experience presenting field verification films to physicians and implementing set-up adjustments as directed Experience preparing dose calculations and maintaining accurate patient treatment records Preferred: prior outpatient radiation therapy experience and familiarity with billing for daily patient treatments Assignment Details Facility type: OutpatientShift: DaysShift hours: 07:00 - 15:30Schedule: Days, 40 hours per weekDuration: 13 week assignment Location Highlights Saint Johnsbury offers an outdoor-oriented, small-city lifestyle with cultural and recreational options within short drives. Additional Duties: Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with facility protocols. Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment. Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team and present verification films to physicians as required. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and direct patients to nursing or physician staff for weekly evaluations. Document treatments, prepare dose calculations, and maintain accurate patient records. Prepare daily treatment schedules and ensure accessories are prepared and accounted for.
