Role Overview

The Sales Assistant supports ABRO’s international sales team and helps provide a responsive, customer-centered experience. This role combines customer communication, order entry, organization, and follow-through. The Sales Assistant works closely with customers and internal teams to move product orders from initial placement through shipment.

The position includes entering and maintaining sales orders, confirming product and shipment information, tracking order progress, and communicating updates to customers. Success requires accuracy, strong communication, comfort working in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to coordinate details across sales, purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams.

What We're Looking For

• Customer-focused approach and ability to build professional relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is not required
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Customer service, sales support, order processing, or logistics experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred — equivalent relevant experience considered

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Support

• Communicate with customers regarding product needs, order status, availability, and shipment progress
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships through responsive, professional service
• Support assigned sales team members with customer follow-up, product information, and order-related requests
• Prepare and communicate order confirmations, updates, and other customer documentation
• Help resolve customer questions and order issues by coordinating with the appropriate internal teams

Order & Shipment Coordination

• Enter customer orders accurately and maintain order information in company systems and tracking tools
• Review product, pricing, quantity, delivery, and customer requirements for completeness
• Monitor each order from placement through fulfillment and shipment
• Enter and maintain shipment details, schedules, and status updates
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to keep orders moving
• Identify missing information, delays, or discrepancies and follow through until resolved

Reporting & Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate customer, order, product, and shipment records
• Use Microsoft Excel extensively to track orders, organize information, and prepare reports
• Prepare routine sales and order-status reports for internal teams
• Assist with product information, documentation, data entry, and other sales administration needs

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with sales representatives and cross-functional teams to support customer commitments
• Communicate priorities, changes, and potential issues clearly and promptly
• Provide backup support to other sales assistants as business needs require

• Location ABRO Industries, Inc. Blackthorn Corporate Park West Side of South Bend, Indiana (across from Blackthorn Golf Course)  
• Schedule Full-Time, In-Office Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
