- Perform day-to-day field tasks as assigned by the Lead Technician or Project Manager.
- Assist with field testing and inspection activities for assigned projects.
- Complete and submit daily field reports and any supporting documentation.
- Conduct soils, backfill, and compaction testing in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist with concrete and grout sampling and testing procedures.
- Operate testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges, in accordance with DOT and safety requirements.
- Observe field conditions and communicate findings, concerns, or deficiencies to the Lead Technician.
- Maintain testing equipment, tools, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
- Work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- High School Degree & Valid Driver's License
- Traveling for work or willingness to travel extensively (95%-100%)
- Experience working in the elements/outside, ability to lift, carry, push up to 100+ pounds on a regular basis
- 0-1 year of related experience preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge in soils, concrete and grout preferred
- Familiarity with soils testing for backfill and roadway applications
- Ability to observe field activities and report to supervisors.
- DOT certification or training for use of nuclear density gauge preferred or ability to obtain.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or ability to obtain.
