Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts (choice of 4x8 or 5x8 schedule); shift times include 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM mix; 40 patients per day; 9-bed unit; no call or weekend requirements

• Ambulatory surgery center setting specializing in ENT and ophthalmology procedures including tonsillectomies, sinus procedures, and cataract surgeries
• Care for diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 3-day orientation provided; scrubs provided by facility
• Contract end date: November 25, 2026
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
• Minimal floating required to other area ambulatory surgery centers only as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Ambulatory/Outpatient care experience required
• IV therapy skills: starting and maintaining IVs required
• Pre/Post-op care competencies: discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and obtaining operative/procedural consent
• Knowledge of malignant hyperthermia protocol and pain assessment and management
• Must complete EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
