Inventory Manager

Caron Scientific is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead inventory operations supporting our manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, material flow, ERP inventory transactions, cycle count programs, and the leadership of inventory personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining strong inventory controls and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop inventory team members responsible for the receiving, storage, movement, and control of raw materials and inventory.
• Ensure materials are properly stocked and available to support both short-term and long-term production requirements.
• Create, release, and close ERP work orders and inventory transactions to maintain inventory and financial accuracy.
• Manage cycle count activities and inventory audits to validate inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory reports and proactively investigate inventory variances in partnership with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams.
• Oversee the disposition of scrap, obsolete, and non-conforming inventory in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with inventory control processes and best practices.
• Create, review, and update work instructions, quality documentation, and inventory-related procedures.
• Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of inventory, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience leading, supervising, or coordinating the work of others preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, inventory accuracy programs, and material management processes.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or similar business systems.
• Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make sound business decisions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
