Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours (06:30 - 15:00). Weekend requirements: Yes, every third weekend. On-call required: Yes, one night a week.

Job Description: As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will work closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, focusing on pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the procedure suite with a ratio of 1:1.
• Manage pre-operative and discharge care for patients with a typical ratio of 4:1.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient recovery following procedures.
• Assist in maintaining sterile field and prepare instruments for procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an endoscopy or similar setting.
• Current South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Ability to float to like units as needed, though this is highly unlikely.
