Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor nursing position is located in Tallahassee, Florida. The role involves floating across various units within the med surg division, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The selected candidate will provide patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting the organization's mission to deliver quality healthcare services.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Florida license (or compact license), BLS certification, EPIC experience, at least 2 years of specialty experience, prior travel experience (minimum of 1 travel assignment), phlebotomy skills, and orientation sessions every Monday.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, with travelers being first to float to all units within the med surg division.
• Additional Information:
  • 50 mile radius rule no locals or travel pairs for Med Surg units.
  • No block scheduling, holiday RTO, or more than 7 consecutive days of RTO.
  • EPIC training is scheduled during the second half of the day at orientation, with testing opportunities available. Candidates who do not pass will need to complete the full training before unit assignment.
  • Orientation begins on 09/07/2026 at the designated facility.
  • The facility is a Trauma level 2, teaching hospital, designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, with 772 beds and a 31-bed unit.
  • Nurse to patient ratio varies by shift: approximately 1:5-6.
