Job Summary

Th e Laboratory Technician is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory support to field operations. This role performs quality assurance testing, prepares laboratory reports, supports fluid design and additive selection processes, and provides technical assistance to ensure successful service delivery.

Job Description

• Perform quality assurance testing on products and materials to support field operations.
• Prepare accurate laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite.
  
• Provide technical support for additive selection and fluid design activities.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and delivery.
  
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained in clean, safe, and operational condition.
  
• Manage proper disposal of laboratory waste according to safety and environmental standards.
  
• Assist technical engineers and product specialists with laboratory support as needed.
  
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal teams and customers.
  
• Conduct routine laboratory audits to ensure compliance with required standards.
  
• Perform risk assessments before tasks and jobs to identify and reduce safety or quality concerns.
  
• Participate in customer service quality meetings and support improvement initiatives.
  
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, including required PPE usage.
  
• Maintain required safety training and certifications.

S kills Required

• Ability and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating day and night schedules.
• Previous experience in a chemical laboratory environment preferred.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical teams and customers.
• Additional training may include NEST training located in Kellyville, OK.

Education

• Minimum: High school diploma or Associate degree
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science-related field

Pay Rate

• $21 - $23 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)

Additional Details

• S hi f t:  7/2 – 7/4 (day / night rotation), 12-hour shifts
• Candidates must be willing to work both day and night shifts.
