Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a long-term care setting. In this role, you will implement patient care components, gather data related to treatments, and collaborate with Physical Therapists to modify care plans as needed. The PTA assists Physical Therapists in treating individuals across all age groups, from newborns to seniors. Key Responsibilities:

• Help patients perform stretches and exercises targeting specific muscle groups
• Follow instructions provided by the Physical Therapist
• Work directly with Physical Therapists to support patient care
• Communicate with families to identify the best at-home techniques for continuing care
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
• Assist in moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy areas
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining paperwork
• Educate patients on techniques like balance training
