This role is full-time during our "busy season" which will vary year to year. If you would like to have some extra income, please read on.Factory Location: Stanwood, MICompensation: $21 / hourShift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours workedSchedules:Night Shift 6:00 pm - 6:00 am on a rotational 2-2-3 scheduleDay Shift 6:00 am - 6:00 pm on a rotational 2-2-3 scheduleAbility to work holidays and weekends per business needsSeasonal Benefits:Sick timeEmployee discounts401K with a 5% matchResponsibilities:Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials or finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for distribution to customersComplete pre-trip inspections and maintain energy source for liftOperate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on palletizing equipmentConduct hourly quality checks and inspect full goods and pallets or other raw materials as neededComplete and maintain quality, inventory, and preventative maintenance documentationUse scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facilityWork as a team with other forklift drivers to prevent line stoppages and improve operationsMaintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Monitor and track equipment downtime, equipment output, and other key metricsMeet or exceed performance goals, including pallets/labor hour, line loading, and truck turn timeInteract with production and warehouse team members, quality control, and maintenance to maximize output and efficiencyCross train to perform other lift and off lift activities as requiredProvide vacation coverage to team membersParticipate in Safety InitiativesQualifications:High school diploma or GEDTwo or more years prior forklift experience with a solid safety record, ideally in a fast paced forklift environmentPrior exposure to manufacturing desired, preferably the food or beverage industry with knowledge of GMPsSolid computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and business management software, SAP preferredDemonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast pace forklift environmentAbility to work independently or with a team with solid communication skillsSolid problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to move/lift 50 lbs various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skillsWillingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidaysAbility to successfully complete an online skills assessment prior to onsite interviewWillingness and ability to working a warehouse with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot and cold)A valid driver's licensePrimo Brands' established portfolio includes billion-dollar brands Poland Spring® and Pure Life®, premium brands like Saratoga® and Mountain Valley®, regional leaders such as Arrowhead®, Deer Park®, Ice Mountain® Ozarka®, and Zephyrhills®, purified brands, Primo Water® and Sparkletts®, and flavored and enhanced brands like Splash® and AC+ION®.
