Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 11/02/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Nov 2, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position requiring KS/MO or compact licensure and 2 years of recent specialty experience.Details\n \n Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, and Telemetry unit setting\n Cares for a cardiovascular and gastrointestinal patient population, including pre/post cardiac cath care\n Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response\n Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15\n 13-week assignment length\n Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed\n Requirements\n \n Active Kansas and Missouri RN license or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration\n Current BLS, NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred\n Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required, including a full year within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 days\n Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy required; port access/management, blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube care, and sheath removal preferred\n Charge RN experience preferred\n 2 professional references required, one from a supervisor level or above and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year\n SSN required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provides cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response on the unit\n Completes EPIC training module or test-out option, along with infusion pump and glucometer training prior to start\n Must complete 10-15 hours of compliance modules prior to start, with additional modules completed during orientation\n Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing\n Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, which must be finalized at time of consideration with no additional requests after offer or onsite\n Previous BJC or Saint Luke's employees must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of tenure, or wait 1 year if returning as a traveler after permanent employment\n Does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius\n Travel partners are not accepted\n First-time travelers are not preferred for this role\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-712545.
