Director Of HousekeepingThe Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of the Housekeeping department. This role ensures the property consistently delivers luxury standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service across all guest rooms. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for luxury hospitality, exceptional attention to detail, and proven experience managing a team in a mountain resort or similar high-touch environment.ResponsibilitiesOversee all housekeeping operations for a high-volume resort.Lead, mentor and develop a diverse housekeeping team to ensure excellence.Cultivate a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvementConduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action as neededLead daily briefings to communicate VIP arrivals, special requests, and operational prioritiesManage inventory and procurement of guest amenities, linens, cleaning supplies, and equipmentManage seasonal staffing fluctuations typical of a resort destination (ski season, summer peak, shoulder seasons)Conduct regular property walk-throughs and audits of guest rooms, corridors, and public spacesTrack and respond to guest feedback related to cleanliness and room presentationsEnsure compliance with OSHA, health department, and environmental regulationsDevelop and manage the annual housekeeping department budgetMonitor labor costs, productivity standards, and cost-per-occupied-room metricsApprove payroll, purchase orders, and vendor contractsPrepare monthly reports on departmental KPIs for senior leadershipExperienceMinimum 5 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience, including at least 3 years as a Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping.Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, seasonal resort environment.Demonstrated leadership skills in team supervision, staff training, and management of housekeeping teams.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.Forbes training a plusBenefitsCompensation $120,000 annual salaryCompetitive salary and bonus opportunitiesMedical and Dental401KUnlimited PTOCareer growth opportunitiesEqual Opportunity Employer:We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
