Collision Repair Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Collision Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after collisions or damage, utilizing your expertise in automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing. Your work will ensure that each vehicle meets safety standards and looks impeccable, providing our customers with confidence and satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair and dedicated to delivering top-quality craftsmanship.

Duties

Perform collision repairs on vehicles, including structural realignment, sheet metal work, and frame straightening using automotive welding equipment such as MIG welding and soldering tools.
Utilize fabrication techniques to create or modify parts using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working methods.
Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sanding, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless finish.
Install automotive parts such as bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision and care.
Use automotive welding repair techniques for structural reinforcement or restoration projects, ensuring safety and durability.
Maintain detailed documentation of repairs performed and communicate effectively with estimators
Qualifications
Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or collision repair specialist in a dealership or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, auto painting, and refinishing processes.
Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment.
Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles is a plus.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint sprayers, and other automotive repair equipment safely and efficiently.
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including auto glass installation and automotive parts installation.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods.
