Job Summary We are seeking a Trust and Estates Attorney for a direct hire opportunity in Venice, FL. This Associate Attorney role is ideal for a client-focused legal professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who wants to build a meaningful practice in estate planning, probate, and estate administration. The Trust and Estates Attorney will help clients make informed decisions during sensitive financial and family transitions while gaining valuable experience in document drafting, case management, probate administration, and fiduciary guidance. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, probate avoidance, and succession planning. Draft, review, and update estate planning documents based on client goals, family circumstances, asset structure, and financial planning needs. Manage estate administration and probate matters from initial consultation through completion. Counsel personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and executors regarding legal duties, rights, timelines, and administration requirements. Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, accountants, and other advisors. Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and support accurate, efficient matter progression. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year. Job type: Direct hire. Location: Venice, FL. Required Qualifications and Skills Advise clients on estate planning and estate administration matters. Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related estate planning documents. Manage probate and estate administration files with attention to deadlines, documentation, and client communication. Support fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and families through legal and administrative processes. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing. 1 to 2 years of legal experience, preferably in estate planning, probate, estate administration, or related practice areas. Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during sensitive personal and financial matters. Detail-oriented approach to case management, deadlines, and document preparation. Professional judgment, discretion, empathy, and a client-service mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives. Familiarity with Florida probate procedures and estate administration timelines. Experience working with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, financial institutions, accountants, or other professional advisors. Interest in developing a long-term practice in trusts, estates, probate, and succession planning.
