Construction Field Clerk

Construction Field Clerk Location: Project sites and/or office (Oahu or other Hawaiian Islands as assigned) Key Responsibilities Prepare, distribute, and file daily reports, meeting minutes, and field documentation. Assist with document control processes including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondence tracking. Maintain organized project files (electronic and hard copy) in accordance with company and client standards. Support timekeeping, crew tracking, and basic cost coding as directed. Coordinate material delivery logs, inspection records, and safety documentation. Serve as a point of contact for routine field-to-office communication. Assist with photo documentation and progress photo organization. Help prepare pay application support packages and closeout documentation. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support project success. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. 1–3 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic familiarity with project management software (Procore, SharePoint, or similar preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (field work required). Preferred Qualifications Prior experience on construction sites or with a construction management/general contractor firm. Familiarity with document control processes, RFIs, and submittals. Experience with Procore, Primavera, or other construction management platforms. Knowledge of construction terminology and basic understanding of plans and specifications. Skills & Attributes Professional, reliable, and discreet with sensitive project information. Comfortable working in both office and field environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Collaborative mindset and willingness to support the broader project team.
