Registered Nurse (RN)

This position follows a streamlined clinical interview process. Candidates can expect timely outreach, typically receiving decisions within the same day or by the following business day.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for the comprehensive care of assigned patients during their shift, adhering to the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Making clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and nursing expertise.
• Assisting in the planning, direction, and education of non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing (required).
• Experience in post-operative open-heart care (required).
• Critical care experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in chest tube and other drain management (required).
• Experience in pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access (required).
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and respond to changes in cardiac rhythms (required).
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities (required).
• Experience with procedures and equipment, including assisting with chest tube removal, managing temporary pacers, and utilizing non-invasive ventilation devices (required).
• Willingness to float to various units within scope of practice (required).

Certification Requirements

• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (required).

Licensure Requirements

• Must possess an active Ohio RN license or a Compact RN License (required).
