This comprehensive OB/GYN role provides a fulfilling combination of outpatient services, gynecologic surgeries, and inpatient duties, including coverage for our maternity unit. Physicians in this position will engage in scheduled shifts and provide backup support for labor and delivery, obstetric triage, and urgent gynecological care. This role is essential in offering extensive women's health services throughout the medical center and ensuring seamless care for patients across the health system.

The responsibilities encompass full-spectrum obstetric care, management of both routine and complex gynecological cases, and surgical procedures in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Our maternity unit benefits from 24/7 in-house anesthesia and CRNA support, a significant advantage not commonly available in many community hospitals. Additionally, gynecologic oncology services are accessible through our collaboration with a leading hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive prenatal care, conduct well-woman examinations, offer contraceptive and preconception counseling, and manage high-risk pregnancies with maternal-fetal medicine support as necessary.

• Provide gynecological services, including annual check-ups, assessment and treatment of menstrual and menopausal issues, contraceptive management, and minor in-office procedures.

• Oversee full maternity unit coverage, managing laboring patients and addressing urgent obstetric and gynecological situations.

• Conduct gynecological surgeries in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.

• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Engage in labor and delivery protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of patient-centered care.

• Work within a system that provides 24/7 midwifery coverage in the maternity unit.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.

• Open to recent graduates or those new to the field.

• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practices.

• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to excel in a dynamic clinical setting.
