Fiscal Assistant

Position Overview The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring a Fiscal Assistant in the Cash Management and Sales Audit Division. Duties include reviewing store sales records and bank records to resolve cash, checks, and payment differences, and comparing lottery sales records with official lottery files to verify accuracy. Attention to detail and experience with reconciliation are required. Responsibilities Examine daily sales information for cash, checks, and lottery transactions. Investigate differences in financial data and determine proper corrections. Work with store staff, auditors, and partners to resolve discrepancies. Use research tools and agency systems to complete reconciliations. Gather required documentation to support audit requests. Prepare daily ACH transfers and assist with NSF reporting. Work Schedule and Benefits Full‑time employment. Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch. Telework: Up to four days per week, with one day in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. Salary: Starting annual salary of $40,685.00 for new Pennsylvania Commonwealth graduates. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements Two years of bookkeeping or clerical accounting work, or An associate degree in accounting or business administration with at least six credits in accounting, or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements within three months of graduating. Other Requirements Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement. Must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements Must pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for PLCB; other convictions will be reviewed case‑by‑case.
