At the School of Pharmacy, we are committed to educating the next generation of leaders in pharmacy, pharmaceutical research and health care – while seeking to ensure the safe, rational and cost-effective use of medicines.**Key Responsibilities:****95% - Pharmacy Technician Duties*** Perform order entry of prescriptions into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system.* Fill prescriptions.* Triage incoming phone calls to the pharmacy department.* Assist with online processing of prescription orders.* Assist patients with new prescriptions and prescription refills.* Determine appropriate payment methods for prescription transactions.* Interact with professional and technical staff, as well as customers, in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.* Perform charging and billing functions.* Assist in the training of pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, students, and interns.* Direct clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment to the appropriate pharmacist.* Receive medications delivered to the pharmacy and stock inventory appropriately.**5% - Other Responsibilities*** Perform other duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications**To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below.
