Transportation Van Driver

Austin Oaks Hospital is currently hiring a Transportation Van Driver to provide transportation services for patients attending outpatient programs at our locations in Austin and San Marcos, Texas. The position requires the ability to consistently fulfill responsibilities and complete assignments, knowledge of patient rights and Texas driving laws, skill in developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with patients and cooperative relationships with other staff, ability to read and write legibly, and effective communication with coworkers, patients, and administration. Patience and tact are necessary for contact with patients. The driver must be able to work all locations and duties include ensuring safe and timely transportation, milieu management, and crisis intervention. Patients served include adolescents and adults.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current CPR or ability to pass CPR training during initial employment period, and a valid Texas drivers license. Experience is not required, but one year driver experience for hospital or psychiatric services is preferred.
