JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional trained to assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures performed in the radiology department. These technologists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate execution of various interventional procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheterizations, among others. The IR Technologist is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who plays a pivotal role in interventional radiology procedures, combining technical expertise with compassionate patient care to facilitate successful outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.

CALL:

Oneweekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and 4 weekdays (Monday-Thursday) every 12 weeks. Set call schedule.

EDUCATION:

Graduate from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology. ARRT is required. Must be licensed in the State of Vermont. Individual must accumulate 200 exams as outlined by the ARRT and become licensed in the modality by passing the Vascular-Interventional (VI) Radiography certification exam within 24 months of completing orientation. This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of clinical experience is highly recommended.

SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY:

External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible for a hiring bonus based on experience - bonuses for full time new hires are between $6,000 and $15,000 and are paid out over a few installments. Candidates joining us in a full-time IR technologist position, from greater than 120 miles from their previous role and home, are eligible for relocation assistance up to $6,000.
