Project Overview:Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.Job Summary:In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1Major Responsibilities:On a medium to large (PFE Tier I - <$250m) job, performs the duties of a lead engineer in either an area, coordinating and directing a variety of disciplines, or as a Project Field Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of assigned operating section. Leadership/Supervision Proactively engages with their teams’ development through CPM, competency development/assessment and feedback Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline. Work Planning & Packaging Coordinates with design on constructability issues. Material Management Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials. Quantities Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting. Safety / Quality Control Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. System Turnover Coordinator   For Direct Hire: Possesses responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (as required) for area turnover coordination as determined by the PFE. STR / Subcontract Coordinator Reviews and approves inspection test plans, Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals Education and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills: Construction experience on LNG projects Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams. Construction experience assigned to a construction site in a supervisory position. Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken. Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving ability. Extensive Piping experience Additional Information: Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
