SUMMARY
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the GMP Sanitation Supervisor owns the Rocky Mount manufacturing site's GMP and sanitation initiatives, overseeing janitorial operations, pest-control activities, compliance documentation, and food safety programs while promoting safe, consistent execution of company procedures!
Your Contribution:

• Lead the site's sanitation program, ensuring effective execution of sanitation standards, procedures, and compliance initiatives.
• Supervise and direct janitorial staff, assigning and coordinating daily sanitation work activities, safety, and operational standards.
• Facilitate and conduct weekly sanitation inspections and quarterly Operations employee sanitation training.
• Develop, maintain, and control sanitation-related documentation, including SOPs, training records, inspection records, pest-control files, SDS records, and electronic system documentation, such as RedZone.
• Complete the Master Sanitation Schedule in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks are detailed, completed and documented.
• Run the pest control program and maintain all related documentation.
• Execute GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and Food Defense initiatives by implementing department policies, sanitation standards, using in-depth knowledge of food plant sanitation, chemical hygiene, and safety practices that support regulatory compliance and product quality.
• Handle inventory and procurement of sanitation and GMP supplies to support Sanitation, Production, and Blending operations.
• Coordinate recycling and trash programs.
• Perform other assigned duties as the need arises.

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of confirmed experience.
• Quality and Food sanitation experience required.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, and strong mathematical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Office Hours/Location:

• This position is based onsite in Rocky Mount, VA, Monday through Friday.
• Remote candidates will not be considered for this role, and no routine travel requirements specified.

Can you do the following?

• Works primarily in the manufacturing facilities, but must follow all safety requirements and precautions for each area
• Proficiency to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, work in a cold environment some of the time
• Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.
• Capacity to work beyond regular business hours and weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary :

• $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
