Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position in Devils Lake, North Dakota. This role involves providing direct nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating patient care within an interdisciplinary team, and facilitating patient education to support safe discharge. The nurse will ensure quality patient outcomes through assessment, intervention, and documentation, with a focus on pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations as appropriate.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license issued by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or a compact state agreement; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA; TNCC, NRP, and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications upon qualification or prior to start date.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will perform daily patient rounds, develop and implement individualized care plans, assess for early signs of deterioration, assist with emergency measures when needed, and begin discharge planning early. Documentation, communication, and patient education are integral parts of this role. Responsibilities also include timely incident reporting and delegating nursing interventions as appropriate.
