Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem

Job Summary Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist to join our Inpatient Rehab at Mt Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital . The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for performing evaluations, direct patient treatment, and documentation. This position is a broad opportunity for all aspects of Speech Language Pathology in a neuro‑specialized department including cognition, swallowing and language. Primarily treating brain injury and stroke as well as tracheostomy management and MBS training opportunities. The SLP identifies appropriate long and short‑term goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals. Employment Details Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Responsibilities Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with a wide variety of communication and swallowing disabilities to help patients achieve maximum functional independence. Interact professionally with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff and provide education and counseling to clients, families and staff. Document patient care appropriately in the medical record to comply with the policies and procedures of the department. Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. State of CT Speech‑Language Pathology licensure.
