The facility provides specialized care for children, youth, adults, and older adults requiring community-based behavioral health treatment. The organization maintains modern systems and protocols to ensure effective psychiatric care delivery within the county mental health system.

San Bernardino County offers diverse recreational opportunities ranging from outdoor adventures like off-road UTV experiences and Joshua Tree National Park scenic tours to family attractions including the Big Bear Alpine Zoo and mountain resorts. The area features numerous parks and trails such as Yucaipa Regional Park, Santa Ana River Trail, and Lake Gregory Trail, providing options for hiking and outdoor activities. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adults during Monday-Friday day shifts working 32-40 hours per week on-site with no telehealth option. Clinical responsibilities include conducting 90-minute initial evaluations and 60-minute medication management visits for patients with serious mental illness requiring behavioral health services. The clinician will utilize the myAVATAR EMR system for all documentation and work within the county-operated outpatient clinic environment. Credentialing process takes approximately 3-5 weeks for this position.
