About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Mom Baby Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Candidates without required skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is for a contract RN in the postpartum unit. The role is for a duration of 13 weeks. The shift will take place from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There are no call requirements for this position. The unit has 24 beds and a total of 26 staff members. Staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 clerk during the day. There are no patient care technicians at night. Typical patient ratios are 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 depending on acuity. Equipment used includes EMR Meditech and CPN. Permanent positions may be available in the unit. Candidates should have experience in labor and delivery or antepartum settings preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. The best candidates will be teamwork oriented with good communication skills. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Teamwork and a collaborative environment are valued.
