Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $80K - $100K/Annum plus benefits

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to oversee domestic and international logistics operations supporting a fast-paced U.S.-based manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving transportation efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery of materials and finished goods, managing carrier relationships, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in freight management, transportation operations, international shipping, and cross-functional coordination within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team focused on operational excellence and accountability.
• Manage inbound and outbound domestic and international transportation activities, including ocean, air, and ground freight.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and third-party logistics providers to support timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
• Monitor shipment schedules, routing, tracking, and delivery performance to support production and inventory requirements.
• Partner with internal teams including procurement, planning, warehouse, production, and finance to align logistics activities with business needs.
• Support carrier negotiations, freight cost optimization, and service-level improvements.
• Maintain shipment visibility and ensure accurate logistics documentation and reporting.
• Track logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost, transit performance, and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain performance and reduce operational risk.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of domestic and international transportation operations, including ocean, air, and ground freight.
• Experience working with freight carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), shipment tracking platforms, and logistics reporting tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight operations.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, renewable energy, technology, or related industries preferred.
• Exposure to high-volume or rapidly growing operational environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and supply chain optimization practices preferred.
