Mammography/Interventional Technologist II

Overview Sentara Belleharbour in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Mammography/Interventional Technologist for a Full Time, Day Shift. 15K Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Location: Suffolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Hours: Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours/week Responsibilities Perform and analyze all screening/diagnostic mammography procedures and/or bone densitometry plus interventional procedures. Perform all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. Provide the best patient care and practice radiation safety standards at all times. Conduct general screening and diagnostic mammography and/or bone densitometry imaging studies of patients to include breast ultrasound or interventional procedures, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Position patients for correct anatomy/pathology, operate radiation producing equipment, operate electronic radiology systems, prepare the patient room/equipment/medications, and maintain adequate supply inventory. Explain exam and procedure to patient and complete departmental documentation.
