About the Role The Regional Manager oversees multifamily community operations in the San Diego, CA region, driving financial performance, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The role requires expertise in compliance, budgeting, multi‑site management, and strong leadership skills to guide a diverse team. What You'll Do Lead and inspire by mentoring community managers and setting high standards for collaboration and results. Maximize performance through budget management, expense optimization, and ensuring properties reach their peak performance. Enhance resident experience by driving retention, satisfaction, and timely issue resolution. Ensure compliance by working with the compliance team to maintain and exceed regulatory standards, including HUD Section8 and tax‑credit requirements. Drive strategy by analyzing market trends, supporting marketing initiatives, and making strategic decisions to enhance community value. Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. CAM or CPM certification preferred. Real Estate License preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) preferred. Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) preferred. Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P) preferred. Experience Five or more years of progressive multifamily property management experience. Experience with Tax Credit Compliance, EIV, and HUD Section8 subsidy programs. Experience with New Build Lease‑Up. Experience with Resyndication / Redevelopment and multi‑site management (preferred). Leadership experience with proven ability to develop and manage a successful team. Proficiency with Yardi or other property management accounting software. Experience writing and maintaining budgets. Experience preparing for a REAC inspection for HUD properties. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of financial statements, budgets, P&L, and general ledger. Knowledge of federal, state, and local fair housing laws and provisions. Ability to read and understand regulatory agreements. Knowledge of REAC and MOR compliance. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency with Yardi or other property management accounting software. Strong math, accounting, and typing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Superior customer service skills, including handling difficult situations. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills. Strong leadership, management, and ethical standards. Independent judgment and ability to meet goals and deadlines consistently. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adjust daily. Travel and flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Compensation and Benefits Estimated Salary: $118,800.00 – $141,750.00 (exempt) – reflects base rate only.
