Clinical Applications Engineer
Intuitive Surgical
Clinical Applications Engineer supporting early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems. The role involves on-site training, procedural support, and technical guidance to new hospital users, while providing feedback to product development teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide procedural support to new robotic system sites to ensure safety and effective progression
- Deliver clinical training and technical assistance to physicians and staff on equipment use
- Identify and escalate clinical adoption barriers to training and development partners
- Maintain communication across global team and collaborate on best practices and product feedback
- Stay current on product specifications, technical troubleshooting, and relevant clinical literature
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years technical or clinical experience in healthcare
- Experience navigating hospitals and supporting clinical procedures
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
- Ability to travel up to 70% with flexibility for nights, weekends, and urgent cases
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills in high-pressure environments
- Experience with complex technical systems and critical patient care settings
- Self-directed with capability to manage travel logistics independently
