Account Executive - Retirement 401(k) Services

Overview Sell Paychex’s retirement plan and flexible spending account products to prospective clients, expanding the client base and driving revenue growth within the Human Resource Services organization. Responsibilities Presents all retirement plan and flexible spending account products and services to decision‑makers, leveraging the Go‑to‑Market Sales Strategy to identify customers’ needs and present Paychex solutions, using in‑person or virtual interactions to increase revenue and market share. Schedules appointments and visits potential and current referral sources, especially within the financial advisor and registered investment advisor community, to secure referrals to end users. Prospects using telephone, direct mail, seminars, client visits, and local marketing programs directed by Sales management to seek new clients and referral sources. Analyzes prospects’ needs and interests, determining appropriate products and referring to appropriate parties when necessary. Expedites resolution of client problems or complaints to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Completes and submits accurate new business paperwork and expense reports by agreed dates; enters prospects, sales, and client notes into Salesforce.com to ensure seamless selling and service. Projects a positive image, upholding Paychex’s reputation to clients and the community. Achieves continual development of technical, competitive, and sales skills to ensure excellence in lead generation, presentations, and closing; completes SAFE examinations and participates in training sessions and self‑study modules to become a Senior Retirement Plan Sales Representative. May be required to travel outside of geographical territory for conferences, training sessions, or regional/national meetings. Qualifications High School Diploma – Required Less than 1 year of relevant Paychex experience and completion of required training programs and/or certification by senior sales management. 2 years of experience in sales or sales management. Compensation Typical total compensation range: $55,000 – $115,000, including base pay and commissions. Total compensation may vary based on location, skills, education, and experience.
