Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (appropriate to K-8th grade)
• Experience or training with resource and/or self-contained classrooms
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with parents, peers, and administrators
• Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Ability to design and implement differentiated instructional strategies
• Experience with IEP processes and progress monitoring is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction in accordance with IEP goals
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and provide updates regarding student progress
• Engage families as partners in the educational process
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all learners
