In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access awareness and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of school grounds, administrative areas, and other assigned locations.
• Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site requirements, and applicable laws, regulations, and/or training guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• 1 or more years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
