POSITION SUMMARY As a Landscape Designer in our Franklin, Tennessee, office, you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible, collaborative environment. This role will be involved in the inventory, analysis, planning, design development and construction administration phases of various projects. You will work closely with Directors and Project Managers to develop creative concepts, create detailed sketches and renderings and engage with clients on a variety of project types. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the project team in developing site designs from concept design through construction documentation. Assist in preparing private development applications and documentation. Research and interpret comprehensive policy plans, zoning regulations, and land development codes. Assist in developing and producing site-specific landscape and hardscape plans. Coordinate with engineers, planners, architects, surveyors, and municipal reviewers throughout project development. Create concept plans, illustrative plans, and sketches by hand and digitally. Produce of drawings, documents and supporting presentation graphics. Preparation of SketchUp, or similar computer-generated 3D Models. Conduct field visits for reconnaissance, construction observation and administration. Support project manager with client communication, meeting preparation and project coordination tasks. POSITION PRE-REQUISITES AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Aligns with company values: People, Passion, Performance! Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture. 0-3 years of professional experience in the field of landscape architecture. Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and collaboratively. Fundamental understanding of the design process and ability to community effectively through multiple medias including hand graphics. Basic understanding of landscape and site related materials, systems, specifications, codes, details and construction techniques. Elementary knowledge of architecture and planning disciplines. Highly organized with excellent time management skills. Practical knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office. Experience with SketchUp, Lumion, or other 3D modeling software is preferred. Experience preparing presentation graphics, planting plans, and construction documents is a plus. Interest in pursuing professional licensure encouraged.
