Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager in Transmission and DistributionThe Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager in Transmission and Distribution is responsible for conducting audits of projects and quality standards. This individual develops a standard program, trains and educates staff on quality expectations and quality fundamentals. The QA/QC Manager will also provide subject matter expertise to assist staff in improving their quality program/efforts. This role also ensures compliance with contract specifications, NESC/NEC and applicable codes, and client quality requirements, and serves as the primary quality point of contact for client's inspectors on assigned projects.The position can be at any of our subsidiary locations or at our headquarters in Thornton, COEssential FunctionsCreate and establish a QA/QC standard program across company for the Transmission and Distribution organizationDevelop and maintain inspection and test plans (ITPs) and project-specific quality management plans (QMPs) in alignment with contract client requirementsPrepare and complete project construction quality review checklists and required documentationManage the non-conformance (NCR) process, including root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of closureReview and approve subcontractor and supplier quality submittals, material certifications, and calibration records for inspection/test equipmentSubmit quality reporting to managementWork with district management to address and improve quality practices throughout the duration of the projectMay oversee the work of other members of the quality departmentAppraise customer's requirements and ensure acceptance, serving as the primary quality liaison with client inspectors and third-party inspection agenciesMaintain records of quality reports and relevant documentation for submission to owner or owner representatives at project closeoutEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationOther duties as assignedRegular and predictable attendanceUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsAbout YouQualificationsMinimum 8 years of experience in the electrical construction industryPrior experience working in a quality assurance or control positionMinimum 8 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman working on electrical construction projects preferred2+ years in a QA/QC supervisory or leadership capacity preferredPreferred EducationBachelors degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering, or related discipline; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreePreferred Certifications NICET certification (Power Line/Electrical Construction)Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)ISO 9001 Lead AuditorOSHA 30-Hour ConstructionKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient with MS Office SuiteProficient with blueprints and one-line drawings; ability to read and understandStrong knowledge of NESC, OSHA, and applicable client construction and quality specificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of electrical systemsStrong organizational and program management skillsAbility to travel up to 50%What We OfferCompensation & BenefitsSalary $86,849-$146,775 / year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
