As a Histologist, you will perform specimen processing, tissue preparation, microscopic slide preparation, stain/coverslipping, slide distribution, and reporting of test results with the goal of detecting and treating disease. Position: Histologist- FT – 40 hours/week Shift: Day Shift- 6:30a- 3p, with no weekend or on call responsibilities Experience: 1. Skills necessary to perform procedures in Histology including specimen processing, tissue preparation, microscopic slide preparation, staining/coverslipping, slide distribution, and reporting of appropriate results. 2. Previous laboratory computer system experience (Epic) is preferred Education: Associates Degree in Histotechnology or related field and HT (ASCP) eligible or an equivalent combination of education, and experience. 2. HT certification eligibility is required. Licensures/Certifications: HT (ASCP) certification (or eligible for certification) is required.
