Job Description:

Registered Nurse for the ICU unit responsible for managing complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. Expected to provide high-level care while ensuring collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complex ICU patients with various diagnoses including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical recovery.
• Float to ED or Medsurg/Tele if required, based on department needs.
• Participate in team settings, working closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
• Maintain high acuity patient ratio dependent on condition.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience excluding travel; cardiac experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required).
• Proficiency in Epic systems and willingness to work a 48-hour week.
• Competency in managing IV medications, hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry.
• Completion of a nursing education program and RN licensure by South Dakota Board of Nursing.
